Good habits to adopt

To clean or cleanse dry skin, it is better to choose a milk or gentle cleansing solution which is pH neutral.  You can then combine rehydration and protection with a cream or hydrating balm made with ceramides, fatty acids and vitamins.

Dry skin is particularly prone to wrinkles.  The good news is that it is possible to slow down these signs of ageing. In order to do that, you can, for example, combine your moisturising product with a serum powered by actives with targeted anti-ageing or anti-brown spot action such as retinol or hyaluronic acid.

Actions to avoid

To prevent the drying out of dry skin, find out about the hardness of the water that you wash in. We do not often think about it, but water that is too hard aggresses the outer layer of the epidermis.

In the case of soap, choose the super fatty soaps rather than traditional soaps which are more drying.  Above all do not use astringent products or lotions made with alcohol, which are too harsh for the hydrolipidic barrier of the skin.
